John R. Seal, MD Award

On 10/ 25/2008, in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Herb Alexander received the John R. Seal, MD Award from the Society of Medical Consultants to the Armed Forces (SMCAF).  This is an annual award presented by the Society  in recognition of outstanding contributions to military medicine through research, patient care, service to the Surgeons General, and active participation if the affairs of the Society.  Dr. Alexander sits on the Board of Directors of SMCAF and currently is Vice-president.  Below, he is pictured with his wife, Dr. Charlotte Alexander and Dr. Mason Ahearn, President of SMCAF (Colonel, Medical Corps, United States Army - retired) who presented the award.  Click here to see a recent news article on this award. 

America's Top Orthopedists

Drs. Herb and Charlotte Alexander were recognized by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Orthopedists for 2008.  They both have received the same recognition in 2009.
